Who are we?
We would like to introduce ourselves as Study Tour Kodara, an academic initiative organised by a committee of five students from the University of Twente in the Netherlands. We are part of the Industrial Design Engineering (IDE) program and are currently preparing a Study Tour to India, which will take place from the 7th to the 28th of November 2026.
What is the Study Tour?
Study Tour Kodara is an academic journey designed to bridge classroom learning with global industry practices. The tour involves a selected group of 15 highly motivated students conducting research in the Netherlands, followed by field visits and interviews with companies and organisations in India. All the research findings will be combined in a final report and presented in a symposium.
Where are we going?
New Delhi
Focuses on government, policy, corporate HQs, and large-scale IT/ITeS due to its role as the national capital and its massive commercial districts like Gurugram and Noida.
Bengaluru
The technology, innovation, and startup hub (Silicon Valley of India). Focuses on IT/ITeS, R&D, and Global Capability Centers (GCCs).
Pune
Known for its Automotive, Manufacturing, and secondary IT/ITeS focus, often seen as a key hub for engineering and is noted for its high quality of living and rapid office space growth.
Mumbai
The financial, commerce, and media capital of India. Focuses on banking, finance, corporate HQs (listed firms), and entertainment (Bollywood).
How to help us?
In order to finance the Study Tour Kodara, our participants will do project cases. The case is 120 hours per participant, where they will work on a project for that company. Upon successful completion of the case of the agreed deliverables, the sponsorship fee is transferred. This provides the necessary financial support for organising the Study Tour Kodara.
